I am in my fifth year of taking a picture a day or so. I am "pbase refugee" who became tired of slowness of the site and the recent disruption in service. For the first 4 1/2 years of my Picture a Day - seehttp://www.pbase.com/joanteno/picture_a_day

I am owned by two black labs and take care of my oldest niece's yellow lab. Very fortunate for now to live near the Naragansett bay and enjoy spectacular sunrises.

Picture of the week started January 2005 : On January 1 2005, I started a Picture a Day project on Pbase while recovering from back surgery. Each week, I posted my favorite shot of the week (usually Sunday to Sunday). Photography is my hobby - so my shots are just a snapshot of what I can fit in my usually hectic life. Some shots are ok. Some not. My main reason for doing this is for me. This is a gallery in transition from Pbase. My goal is that all 5 years of weekly shots will be here soon. Thanks for looking!

Just My Black Labs : Java is six and Moki now 15 months old. Java is the most laid back dogs that exists. He is happiest to have a soft toy in his mouth and lie next to you in couch. Moki is Java's nephew is all retriever. Ball, where the ball. I must have the ball. He is very sweet guy that quickly went from 11 pounds to 85 pounds.

Calendar 2010 : Since 2002, I have produced a calendar of pictures that I took that year. The 2004 effort was less than stellar so I started trying to take a picture a day to do something to exercise the artistic side of my brain on daily basis. For 2005, I did take a new picture a day - no ifs, ands, or butts. Since then, I have posted something almost for every day missing a few here and there. Initially, it was family only - now it is given to about 50 persons. November is my month for winnowing the shots down to the final 12 shots. So let the winnowing begin. Appreciate your input. Select 12 favorite shots taken from December 2008 to November 2009. Thanks for your help.
